Carrie has been invited to play a one night only show in the Northern Lights Cathedral in Norway.
(Reunited with an old friend living up there and his family of 30 husky dogs ..doing expeditions across hundreds of miles of snow flats…)
Carrie will share songs of her own and some of her treasured favourites of others, collected through the years on both piano and guitar. Musical guests to be confirmed.
The concert will be support by Inger Gaup, a 23 year old Sami singer-songwriter from Kautokeino. Despite her young age, she has already built an impressive musical CV. Since 2006 she has participated in the Sami Grand Prix three times. She was just 15 years old when she finished runner-up then went on to win it twice aged 16 and this year in 2018. She has also featured on numerous CDs with choirs, in sami children songs and released her very own album in 2015 called “Sweet Love”.
Alta is a town with a homely feel and is known as ‘City of Northern Lights’.
